Cratos Premium is one of the larger and more facility-dense five-star resorts on the Kyrenia coast — a complex of 408 rooms across three accommodation blocks, with its own private beach and pier, an infinity pool, a Bali-inspired spa floor, the marina-style "Port Cratos" entertainment area, and one of the more prominent casino operations on the island.
Location & access
The hotel sits in Özanköy (also rendered Kazaphani), east of central Kyrenia, in the broader Çatalköy stretch of the coast. Ercan Airport is around 45 minutes away by car via the central crossing. Central Kyrenia is a short drive west for guests who want an evening off-property; the resort itself is designed to keep most visits on-site.
Rooms
The 408 rooms are split across three blocks. Standard rooms run designer-styled interiors with proper bathrooms, central air-conditioning, soundproofing, free WiFi and 32-inch HD plasma TVs with a wide channel set. Superior rooms add more space; full Suites separate the bedroom from the living area; the Presidential Suite sits at the top of the category list. Every room comes with a balcony — garden- or sea-view — plus a mini-bar and complimentary toiletries.
Beach, pier and pools
Cratos has its own private sandy beach with a lagoon and a pier extending into the sea — covered in more depth on the dedicated Cratos Beach page. Behind the beach sit multiple pools, with an infinity pool as the standout adult-facing surface. A separate children's pool and an indoor pool round out the swimming options.
Dining
The dining footprint is unusually broad for the area. The family-friendly main restaurant rotates through Mediterranean, Turkish, Italian, French, Japanese, Chinese and British menus across the week, with a buffet structure that covers continental, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and Asian breakfast options. Several à la carte restaurants and bars across the property cover lighter food, themed dinners and after-hours drinks.
Bali-inspired spa
The spa floor is built around a Bali-inspired concept. Eastern-style massages — Indian, Nepalese, Thai and Shiatsu — are part of the core treatment list, alongside more specialist therapies and facials. A traditional hammam, sauna and steam room operate inside the same wing, with the standard luxury treatment menu running alongside.
Casino, port and nightlife
The on-site casino is one of the bigger floors in North Cyprus, separated from the residential blocks. Behind it sits the marina-style "Port Cratos" — a clustered entertainment area with bars, restaurants and the Cage outdoor club, which runs through summer as one of the busier nightlife venues on the island.
Convention and business
Cratos runs a business centre and meeting facilities on-property and regularly hosts company meetings and conferences. The scale of the dining footprint and accommodation depth means it can handle mid-size events without losing its leisure character.
Who it suits
Cratos Premium is built for visitors who want a destination resort with everything inside one campus — beach, multiple pools, the full spa programme, a dining range that doesn't need leaving, and the option to walk out at night to a casino floor or a nightclub. Convention organisers find it usable; families benefit from the children's pool and kids' programme; couples can use the adult-facing infinity pool and spa. Visitors looking for a smaller boutique property are better suited to one of the chain's smaller competitors.
