Acapulco Beach is the private beachfront and aquapark of Acapulco Resort, one of the long-standing five-star properties on the Kyrenia coast. The combination of a long sandy beach with a 24-slide aquapark and several pools makes it one of the most family-oriented day-out destinations in North Cyprus.
Location & access
The resort sits east of central Kyrenia in the Çatalköy direction, set back from the main coast road. Most visitors arrive by car; the property's car park handles both hotel guests and day visitors. Day-pass terms are set by the resort and vary by season.
The beach
The seafront is a long sandy stretch with shallow, clear water — easier on small children than the rocky platforms typical of this coast. Sun loungers and umbrellas are laid out across the sand, with the rest of the resort's amenities just behind.
Aquapark
The aquapark is the property's marquee attraction — 24 slides in total, split between 19 designed for older children and adults and 5 for younger guests. Five separate slide pools sit at the base, along with two outdoor pools alongside. The aquapark typically runs morning and afternoon sessions in season (commonly mornings 10:00 to 12:00 and afternoons 14:00 to 17:00 — confirm current times when planning).
Pools, wellness and water sports
Beyond the aquapark, the resort runs an adults-only infinity pool, a heated indoor pool, an outdoor children's pool and an indoor children's pool. The wellness floor includes a Turkish hammam, sauna and indoor/outdoor jacuzzis — usually free for guests, with the spa centre open through the day. Water sports along the beach include jet ski, water ski, windsurfing and canoeing.
Who it suits
Acapulco is the obvious pick for families with children — the combination of sandy beach, aquapark and dedicated kids' pools is hard to match in North Cyprus. Couples and groups looking for a quieter day will find the adults-only infinity pool, but the property's overall character is family-resort first.
