The Arkın Beach is the seafront of The Arkın İskele, a hotel on the Long Beach (Uzun Yol) strip on the Iskele coast east of Famagusta. Arkın markets the property as an "art hotel" — the public spaces feature curated artworks and prints — but visitors come for the kilometre-long beach and the family-friendly mix of pools, aquapark and dining.
Location & access
The hotel sits on the Long Beach stretch in the Iskele (Trikomo) district, roughly half an hour east of Famagusta and well-positioned for visitors to the Eastern Mediterranean University campus. The drive in from central Famagusta uses the coast road past the Salamis ruins. Most visitors arrive by car; day-pass access policies vary by season.
The beach
The seafront is a long sandy stretch — Long Beach itself runs for several kilometres along the Iskele coast, and the Arkın property holds about a kilometre of it. Sun loungers and umbrellas line the beach in front of the hotel, with shaded zones available behind. The water is generally calm; the beach is less developed than the Kyrenia clubs but cleaner and quieter in compensation.
Pools and aquapark
A large outdoor pool sits behind the beach, with a sun-deck and bar service. The property also runs a small aquapark with five slides — enough to keep families with younger children entertained without the crowds of the bigger slide-park resorts on the Kyrenia coast. A separate children's pool with its own waterslide rounds out the swimming options.
Dining and casino
Multiple restaurants run through the day, including an Italian à la carte option, a traditional Turkish ocakbaşı grill, and the main buffet. Bars are spread across the pool deck and inside. The on-site casino operates separately from the main hotel floors, in the standard North Cyprus casino-hotel arrangement.
Wellness, kids' club and facilities
The spa floor includes a Turkish hammam, sauna and steam room, plus standard wellness treatments. A fully-equipped fitness centre operates for guests. For families, the daytime kids' club is free to use, with a dedicated playground, trampoline and games room. Free WiFi covers the hotel.
Who it suits
The Arkın is one of the most family-friendly beach destinations east of Famagusta — the combination of long sandy beach, calm water, dedicated kids' facilities and a small aquapark works well for parents travelling with children, particularly those visiting an EMU applicant or staying in the Iskele area. The art-hotel positioning is a quiet differentiator rather than the main draw.
