Pera Mackenzie, Iskele

May 27, 2026

Pera Mackenzie is a hybrid beach club, restaurant and live-music venue on the Long Beach strip between Famagusta and Iskele. It runs as a beach lounge during the day and a concert / nightlife destination after dark — one of the better-known go-out spots on the east coast.

Location & access

The venue sits along the Long Beach (Uzun Yol) strip closer to the Iskele end than the Famagusta end. The drive from central Famagusta is roughly 25–30 minutes along the coast road past the Salamis ruins. Visitors arriving for the night programme typically come by car or taxi.

The beach club by day

By day Pera Mackenzie operates as a beach club — sun loungers and umbrellas on the sand, bar service, food from the kitchen. The sand-and-water at this end of Long Beach is gentler than the open ocean stretches further north. A VIP section offers more space and a quieter setup for visitors who want privacy.

The restaurant

Dinner is the property's stronger offering — the kitchen leans Mediterranean with seafood emphasis, and the panoramic terrace looking out over the bay is well-regarded for sunset hours. Reservations are sensible during peak summer evenings.

Live music and nightlife

After dark the venue shifts mode. Pera Mackenzie hosts live music nights and concerts through the summer, drawing visitors from across the east coast. It's a different rhythm from the family-resort beach clubs on the Iskele strip — louder, later, more nightlife-oriented.

Who it suits

Pera Mackenzie works for visitors who want a full-day-into-night experience rather than just a beach day — couples and groups in particular. Families with young children may find the late-evening character less suitable, but the daytime beach hours work fine for everyone.
